Adupo is a webshop that sells gift items imported directly from Michael Mwaniki Njogu, our business partner in Kenya.
Established in early 2008 in association with ABle Volunteers International Fund (www.avif.org.uk), we sell a wide range of Maasai jewellery, blankets and household items and a wide range of batiks.
The aim of Adupo is to help Mike develop a sustainable business for himself and his family by helping to promote his products to a wider audience. All revenue generated from sales is reinvested in the site, with Mike also making a profit.
Michael Mwaniki Njogu Mike lives with his wife Ann and children Steve (6) and Laure (1) in Njoro, Kenya. Mike and Ann sell the Maasai products that are for sale on this site, which are made by their family. Mike is a big Arsenal fan and his favorite players are Thierry Henry and Emmanuel Adebayor, although Keith has sent him an AFC Wimbledon shirt in an effort to convert him to a Dons fan.
Pics of Mike in his shop can be seen on our myspace site www.myspace.com/adupo.
With Christmas fast approaching, I just wanted to let everyone know about our latest shipment of Maasai blankets, featuring some beautiful new styles. They can be seen on our website at Adupo here.
The blankets have been our best seller to date. They are very good quality and measure 195cm x 145 cm but most importantly, they would make fantastic Christmas presents for the ethically minded person in your life.
